ABOUT FULL MOONS

Every month the Moon reaches its fuller phase when it makes an exact opposition with the Sun. It’s the peak of the lunar cycle, when emotions are heightened and when something subconscious rises into the conscious awareness. Also, it symbolizes completion, when we see the results of what we began during the New Moon of its same zodiac sign. This makes it perfect to celebrate if you see the blooms of the seeds you planted and/or an opportunity for reflection and gaining emotional clarity on a situation.

FULL MOON IN VIRGO

The Full Moon will occur at 19 degrees of Virgo, an Earth and Mutable sign ruled by Mercury. This last planet will station direct during the night of this lunar event, indicating that this luminous Super Moon will lighten the hazy path Mercury Retrograde invited us to cross. Thus, bringing an illumination, as the mist clears and a new perspective of reality unfolds in front our eyes. The Sun will be right conjunct Neptune while the Moon will directly oppose it, giving us an emotional understanding of what has been nebulous externally or bringing clear and concrete answers to what we’ve intuitively known or had as a query during Mercury’s transit.

From this lunar event, we may find the meaning of those strange dreams or irrational fears that may have rose or intensified this Pisces Season, as it will help us analyze them with an objective mind. The grounding energy of the Moon in Virgo will be helping us perceive reality as it is and thus, begin to heal from any fear and release any suspicion or anxiety that is not based on truth or fact. The luminaries will be also aligning harmoniously with the stellium in Capricorn, reinforcing that the false, baseless, irrational and unfounded will be released from this Full Moon until the New Moon in Aries of March 24th. The astrological new year will soon begin, making this proximate two weeks ideal to release what no longer serves our purpose and to channel this Virgo energy to cleanse and detoxify ourselves and our environment.

MERCURY RETROGRADE STATIONS DIRECT

Mercury in Pisces began its retrograde motion on February 16th, inviting us to cross the road that was mostly covered in fog in order to inquire on the uncertain and the nebulous in our lives or in our psyche. The purpose may have been as deep as to find our soul purpose in this incarnation and as simple to find the truth in where we’ve been deceived by others or by our very self.

Bizarre or frightening dreams may have been the highlight for most during this transit in order for our subconscious to cleanse itself from all the baggage it has accumulated. Mercury stationing direct in the sign of Aquarius during this lunar event will illuminate us the reason or the meaning of these dreams as the Air element will help us analyze them objectively.

However, for some they may have been prophetic, as this Pisces energy may have been just what we needed to unlock our psychic abilities. However, on March 16th, Mercury will return to Pisces, transiting the same degrees it passed since it stationed retrograde. Thus, crossing the same road, but this time, the mist will be clear. This signifies that now we will be comprehending everything that was before mystified and be cognizant now of where we are heading and what not to step into again.

FULL MOON OPPOSITE NEPTUNE

When the Moon faces Neptune, we face with the unknown, with illusions or with the hidden behind the veils. It’s not the same as a conjunction, as this aspect merges their influence and thus, obscuring or mystifying our emotions. However, the opposition in the Virgo and Pisces axis, makes us confront them, see them from a separate place, making it possible to analyze and observe the illusions face to face instead of getting lost in their delirious spell.

This opposition happens approximately every 28 days when the Moon is in Virgo. However, this time its effects are much stronger, considering that it’s happening during a Full Moon; that the Sun will be almost exactly conjunct Neptune (an aspect that occurs once a year); and that Mercury spent weeks retrograde in the same sign as Neptune. This is then a very powerful aspect that may reveal to us what has been hiding under the veils. Hence, making us face where we’ve been deceived by others or by ourselves. Also, we may get confirmation of what we intuitively been knowing or the opposite to what we thought was intuition, proving to us that it was just a fear.

MOON TRINING STELLIUM IN CAPRICORN

The Moon in Virgo will be closely trining, in a 3-9 orb, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn and Pluto in Capricorn. This four planets have been creating pressure for a restructuring and rebuilding of teared structures since the eclipses of 2019. However, their harmonious alignment with the Moon indicates that we will be meeting their energy in a grounding way. Perfect to release all those illusions that mask our reality and to find peace and harmony in what is ending. Lastly, the aspect with Pluto reinforces that it’s an excellent time for detoxing from corporal and energetic toxins.

WHAT THIS MEANS FOR YOU

This Full Moon will illuminate something and bring clarity to the area of life it will transit in your chart. However, it will also clear up matters in the area where the Sun is transiting, which is the opposite house. This lunar event also culminates the emotional cycle that began six months ago with the New Moon in Virgo. What goals did you set yourself to accomplish, what intentions did you set, what seeds did you planted? It’s then time to harvest the results and celebrate.

Regarding the effects of this Full Moon, they will be felt until the New Moon in Aries. During this period, it’s an excellent to prepare for the astrological new year by releasing what no longer serves. You may also begin to feel relief or healing of the anxiety or fears that may have rose from the beginning of Mercury Retrograde.
