On The Eve Of Winter Solstice
Dearest Magickal Beings,
This is always a beautiful time of the year for me. It’s the end of what for me is the best season of the year. Fall.
But it’s also about the final breath, the long nights pause, and the last night of the Solar cycle.
I’m going to say something super controversial in the Witch world here – for me… this is the eve before the Witches New Year. Tomorrow, the Sun is born again, the days have grown shorter and shorter and now, tomorrow, the Sun starts to return and the cycle just makes sense to me this way.
With that said, tonight comes to us as a hush. Tonight is the long last exhale of the year. And thankfully, because our culture is set up as it is, the big party night is on December 31st so this allows us to tuck in and be absorbed into this long dream before the Sun begins to return to us tomorrow.
So, I’m going to keep it brief, because I love luxuriating in this magickal night and I’m all about the looking back, saying thank you and goodbye and then getting a long nights sleep to travel between the veils.
I want to say thank you to you all who have joined this journey with me at The Witches Box. Though the box launched in October, the actual business was born early this year and it’s quick evolution is due to all of you seeing and understanding the vision I had for it and coming to the table with wisdom and beauty of your own.
What it’s evolving into is so much more than originally expected and I have you all to thank for that. Thank you. Truly.
This Circle is growing and even those of you that I have yet to interact with, hold a space in some way for what we all are in this world as Witches. And that… is a magick that serves to sustain us into this new year. Witches are no longer invisible, hidden or silent. We not only have the space and safety to stand Seen, but we stand with one another, countless. And this is power. This is beauty. And it feeds us all.
