ABOUT FULL MOONS

Every month the Moon reaches its fuller phase when it makes an exact opposition with the Sun. It’s the peak of the lunar cycle, when emotions are heightened and when something subconscious rises into the conscious awareness. Also, it symbolizes completion, when we see the results of what we began during the New Moon of its same zodiac sign. This makes it perfect to celebrate if you see the blooms of the seeds you planted and/or an opportunity for reflection and gaining emotional clarity on a situation.

FULL MOON IN TAURUS

The Full Moon will occur at 19 degrees of Taurus, an earth and fixed sign ruled by goddess Venus. This lunar event represents the climax of Scorpio season and the culmination of a cycle that began on May 4th with the New Moon in Taurus. The Moon will form marvelous aspects with other planets, making it highly positive. Firstly, it will be right conjunct Vesta, the goddess of the sacred flame, igniting our passions. It will be opposing Mercury Retrograde which will be cazimi, in the heart of the Sun, indicating a time of emotional clarity and inner revealings.

Further, as since last New Moon in Scorpio we’ve been digging underground and being invited for some shadow work, this Full Moon will now be unearthing the hidden skeletons and illuminating the dark places. Although this may sound negative, it’s the opposite since this Full Moon is auspicious, as it’s exalted in this sign and it will be making harmonious aspects to Pluto, Saturn and Neptune. Thus, indicating finally a time of rebuilding and of starting to create new structures, thus the process of shedding is at a climax and the one of resurfacing and regeneration now begins. It may then give clarity of what needs to be revealed in order to adjust to the changes that may be occurring.

SCORPIO SEASON

This season has brought some intense and transformative energies, descending us to the underworld to confront our shadow, find the poison and transform it into medicine. It has been a period for personal alchemy, shedding and regeneration.

Scorpio is the sign ruled by the planet of death and rebirth and by warrior Mars. It rules the 8th house, the area of the occult and the extreme ups and down we go through in life. Taurus, its opposite sign, is the sign of stability and security, it’s the one that stabilizes and brings material support to Scorpio, as it rules the second house of possessions and resources. It´s ruled by Venus, thus it makes this sign also focused on its value and self esteem. As both signs are ruled by the cosmic lovers, Mars and Venus, it turns this polarity into a highly passionate one waiting to erupt. Taurus is the volcano, and Scorpio is the lava. Both represent the intense and transformative phases we go through life, when we say we’ve had enough and it’s time to add either passion or stability in our lives.

With the Sun in Scorpio and Mercury Retrograde, we are erupting, letting go of the toxic contained within us, healing aspects of our shadow, facing endings and strengthening our resiliency. Now with the opposition with the queen of the night, the Moon in Taurus, we can finally begin this process externally. If at first we were releasing and healing things from inside, now we can make material changes. It’s making changes from inside and out. In addition, as the New Moon in Scorpio of October represented an emotional cycle that will be making radical changes because of its opposition with Uranus, with this lunar event we may be finally clear on what needs to change or is inevitably changing, making it ideal to release resistance and let the transformation process begin.

MOON IN TAURUS OPPOSITE MERCURY RETROGRADE IN SCORPIO

On November 11th, one day before the Full Moon, the Sun and Mercury will be exactly conjunct in the sign of Scorpio. This aspect between these two personal planets always happen at the middle of the planet of communication’s retrograde transit. This conjunction with the Sun is known as the ‘New Moon’ of its 116 day cycle, as after it, its waxing hemicycle is restored. It represents a time when the fog begins to dissolve and we can start feeling inner clarity.

However, the Full Moon happening right along this conjunction and exactly in opposition with Mercury, indicates, that there would also be external clarity, and that anything that has been hidden underground will be revealed. Positively, this may be the root of the cause of a problem or of finding finally the antidote to the poison, which is what Mercury Rx in Scorpio is all about. Finding it and healing that root will promote the transformation, growth and manifesting power of this Full Moon.

FULL MOON CONJUNCT VESTA

Vesta, the goddess of the sacred and eternal flame is represented in the cosmos by asteroid #4. It will be right conjunct the Moon and opposite the Sun. Hence, the Sun will be igniting the sacred flame that will be felt in our emotional body because of its proximity with the Moon. This asteroid represents what makes our soul ignite or vibrate, in the sign of Taurus, it has to do with our personal value and sense of self worth. As in every Full Moon in Taurus represents a time to begin cultivating self love, with this aspect it reinforces this it’s something that is needed during Scorpio Season and Mercury Retrograde. We are releasing and letting go of things, but why? Because we love ourselves and we have to stand our ground to what is mostly convenient for us and this state of mind is what is being ignited passionately.

MOON TRINE PLUTO & SATURN IN CAPRICORN

The luminaries’s harmonious aspects with the planets that have been tearing down structures with the eclipses of 2019, signifies that the time of creation and rebuilding has begun. The trine with Pluto will help us face the changes with resiliency and the one with Saturn will guide us in taking practical action and grounded decisions. It’s a time of emotional clarity, thus, what may be illuminated is the most practical road to take after the crossroads we may have been facing. In addition, as it’s an excellent time to begin cultivating self love, then this trine with Saturn adds the need to set boundaries. Finally, Saturn in sextile with Neptune and the Moon aspecting both, highlights a highly fertile time to begin turning dreams into reality, making this lunar event ideal for manifesting.

WHAT THIS MEANS FOR YOU

This lunar event represents a time of culmination of a phase, of seeing results and meeting changes. It’s a potent time for manifesting and for taking action on things that brings growth or that permits change to occur. Thus, letting go of resistance will help you step away from stagnation and let the transformation of Scorpio season happen. The New Moon in Scorpio was right opposite Uranus, signifying that radical changes and a process of shedding and regeneration was going to occur, with the Full Moon in Taurus you may begin seeing the results of this in the area of life that this sign rules in your chart.
